About Julianna Poole:

Julianna Poole is a contemporary dance artist currently in her second year at the SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Dance in New York. She is also a recent recipient of the Mugler Creators Fund Scholarship, an honor for which she is deeply grateful to have been recognized by her faculty and board of study. Prior to joining Purchase, Julianna trained extensively at Concert Dance Conservatory in Colorado Springs, where she developed a strong technical and artistic foundation across multiple modern and contemporary techniques. Her training includes Graham, Cunningham, Limón, Horton, jazz, contemporary improvisation, and ballet. She has studied with distinguished faculty including Linda Celeste Sims, Martin Løfsnes, Jean Freebury, Nelly Van Bommel, Billy Blanken, Kim Robards, Mindy Marcus, and Brittany Walker. As a performer, Julianna has appeared in several productions, including Roaratorio, repertoire by Merce Cunningham staged by Jean Freebury. She will also perform in the reconstruction of Dark Meadow, originally choreographed by Martha Graham, with Purchase Dance Company this May. Additionally, she returned to Concert Dance Conservatory as a guest alumni artist in their most recent winter concert. Julianna has been accepted into summer programs with leading companies including Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, The Joffrey Ballet, Paul Taylor Dance Company, BODYTRAFFIC, and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, among others. She is thrilled to return to Evolve Dance Project this summer as a Guest Artist and looks forward to contributing her artistry and energy to the community.
