About Anneliese Carlson:
Annie Carlson is a dancer, choreographer, and educator based in Pueblo, Colorado. She trained extensively in ballet, contemporary, jazz, and character dance, and performed for two seasons with Evolve Dance Project, where she developed her artistry through contemporary works and performance projects. Annie currently serves as the Ballet Director at Second Street Dance Company, where she teaches ballet technique and mentors dancers of all ages. In addition to her teaching, she has choreographed numerous pieces for youth dance competitions, helping dancers develop strong technique, musicality, and storytelling on stage. She is also the creator and choreographer of The Nutcracker Before Christmas, an original reimagined production that blends classical ballet with contemporary and theatrical elements. The production brings together dancers and artists from across the community and showcases Annie’s passion for creative storytelling through movement. Annie is passionate about helping young dancers strengthen their technical foundation while exploring artistry and expression. She is excited to share her experience and love of dance with students at this summer intensive.
