Whether you are an artist, author, business executive, dancer, fiber arts devotee, jewelry maker, musician, playwright, poet, potter, programmer, screen writer, storyteller, or teacher, you’ve been “called” to create a bold and innovative life, while building upon the foundation of your existing talents and abilities.

Welcome to my Spiritual Alchemy Workshop. First, congratulations on taking another step toward your own artistic journey. To create is to bring something into being or  to life. Whether you are an artist, author or beginning writer, dancer, jewelry maker, musician, playwriter, poet, potter, screen writer, or storyteller, you have been “called” to create. This invitation, to bring the images and ideas in your mind and heart to fruition is from a sacred place. “Spirit” has invited us to take part in this creative journey. To bring them forth and breathe life into these ideas can be unsettling and joyful all at the same time. The moment spirit invites you to consider an idea, you have the choice to say yes or no.

I personally believe that once we say “yes” to Spirit and to our own creative desires, and begin working through the  creative processes, we will be guided by a higher source. For some it may be God, for others it may be a higher consciousness, a spirit guide, and our own inner-spirit that knows right where we must go to fulfill the vision we have been blessed with.

If you look at the word creation, it is often linked synonyms such as “god like” or “divine” and I could not agree more. Our creativity is not just about selling something to an audience;         it is much deeper! It is about self-expression and sharing your insight and wisdom through the world with your art form. Tapping into the spiritual side of our creativity can take us into unimagined places of self-discovery and spiritual connection with the Divine.

When I talk about Spirit or the Divine, I am not promoting any one religion. Our spiritual life is shaped by our upbringing and by life itself. Spirit is how you understand your “Higher Power” or the “Creative Spirit” or “Guides” that help you along the way. My spiritual life began at an early age. I attended Catholic church as a young girl, then changed to Methodist in my teens. Later in life I begin to learn about the Native American Culture through my book projects and interactions with various tribes. It was through those indigenous experiences that my art and writing took off. I became intensely aware of the spiritual connection to my art,  to the mediums I used, and to the power  of observation. I found beauty in the story of Buddha, too. These later experiences expanded my consciousness and transformed my heart, mind, and soul, and in the process my own creativity. It has been a wonderful and healing    journey. I invite you to join me in my Spiritual Alchemy Workshop and release your creative spirit while embracing your imagination and the ability to achieve dreams through authentic self-expression.
