The exhibition features a rich variety of works, including traditional Japanese art forms such as hagoita (badminton paddles), pottery, and a special presentation of Japan Style: Prints, showcasing a private collection gathered over 40 years. Echoes of Excellence also provides important cultural context by highlighting the lesser-known yet strong Japanese history and cultural influence within the diverse heritage of the Pueblo area.

Known as “Deadhand”, a Pueblo, Colorado-based artist excelling in murals, visual art, and fashion design. She describes her style as “punk-surrealism.” Currently, Deadhand is working on creating large-scale murals on Pueblo’s Arkansas River Levee, contributing to the muralists' efforts to reclaim the title of having the world’s longest mural. When not painting above the river, she collaborates with Colorado galleries and fashion houses to create and showcase her work. The majority of Deadhand's work outside of murals is focused on fine art paintings and gallery installations.

Robin Beattie of Quilted Canvas Studios is our 2025 Emerging Artist choice, and we are proud to present a selection of her original quilted canvases. So, what is a quilted Canvas? It’s exactly what it sounds like: a quilt, transformed into a canvas. A tactile, textile piece of art meant for your wall, not your bed. Click below for more info.
