Description

In this clay class will span 4 weeks and will consist of two main parts; the building stage and the glazing stage. This class will allow the student to create multiple kinds of projects, starting off with a simple hand built cup or bowl. The second project will be a vase-shaped vessel with some carving and design work. The third project will be up to the student and they will be encouraged to use their creativity and imagination.
Instructor Bio:
Rick Morris has been a professional artist for over 20 years. His work spans from being a graphic artist, where he created images for signs and vehicle wraps to becoming the Preparator for the Buell Children’s Museum, where he created artwork for upcoming exhibits. His work there consisted of anything from large painted murals to sculpted characters of all sizes made from a variety of different materials.
Rick received his bachelor’s in fine art at CSU Pueblo.
Rick has shown his paintings and sculptures at several local galleries and exhibits. When not spending time with his family, Rick can be found in his home studio creating artwork, something he has done for most of his life.
